Safety Assessment

We carry out safety assessments of cosmetic products in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009 on cosmetic products and we develop the necessary documentation for the product.

MPR Labs, your Regulatory Expert can help you from A to Z.

To meet the above requirements, we propose a five-step process:

  1. Review of the formula and documentation of the cosmetic together with the indication of possible deficiencies and the selection of appropriate tests
  2. Specialist Assessment of the Safety of a Cosmetic Product ended with the issuance of a report signed by a qualified Safety Assessor
  3. Verification of the correctness of label elements and advice on specific product claims
  4. Preparation of PIF and submitting products to the CPNP database
  5. Professional advice throughout the product life cycle on the market
Placing a cosmetic product on the EU market without a high-quality Safety Assessment Report is a serious offensive that usually leads to product recalls, significant financial penalties and serious damage to the reputation of the cosmetic brand. The Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) is a basic requirement for your cosmetic product to enter the market. Thanks to our specialists, you will receive such a report in the blink of an eye. The Cosmetic Product Safety Report consists of the following elements: Part A: Information on the safety of cosmetic products (composition, purity, exposure calculation) Part B: Cosmetic product safety assessment (applications, warnings, justification, approval)
PRODUCT INFORMATION FILE
Every cosmetic product on the European market needs a Product Information File (PIF). This documentation contains all product information, from manufacturing to labelling. The responsible person is obliged to keep the product documentation for a period of ten years from the date of placing the last batch of the product on the market. The PIF of the product must be readily available for inspection at the address of the person responsible for the product.
Notification is the act of informing the competent authorities that you intend to sell a cosmetic product on the European market. All cosmetic products are subject to notification. On the EU market, the notification is made in the CPNP (Cosmetic Products Notification Portal) system. The purpose of the notification is to inform the competent authorities that you intend to sell the cosmetic product on the European market, so that the competent authorities know who to contact if they have questions about the cosmetic product or want to inspect it.
